Paul Manser is a multidisciplinary commercial, sports and content photographer, and videographer with a keen eye for the finest details. He has worked with an array of brands such as L’Oreal, Sainsbury’s, Lock and Co, Tribourne, and many more.

Paul started out at college wanting to be a graphics designer but during his course found his skills lent more to a career within photography. He then went on to study advertising and fashion photography at Cheltenham and Gloucester College, assisting many photographers in London and Brighton.

Paul originally concentrated on still life and product photography. Whilst assisting in Brighton, he became the second photographer for the studio taking on a share of the studio’s clients whilst building up his own separate clientele . He became a freelance photographer over 25 years ago.

In the early days Paul worked with film cameras such as Sinar and Cambo (utilising 10x8 and 5x4), and medium format cameras such as Hasselbald and Mamiya. Now, he is competent with using both DSLR and mirrorless cameras and a plethora of different studio lighting systems.

At the start of the digital era, a 128 meg file took many hours to process!

With the ever changing pace of content, Paul finds himself taking photos and filming side by side. Even when not working, he is often out with his camera and recently was shortlisted for both Landscape and Wildlife Photographer of the year.

Paul is a family man, keen sportsman and surfs during his spare time.
